The Perfume Center of America representatives came to our April 16th membership meeting to discuss the construction of their new building at 2020 Ocean Avenue. Mr. Kanak Golia, President of Perfume Center of America, Jame Manicone, Director of Operations for JM2 Architecture, Jack Kulka and Steve Allister of Kulka LLC explained the function of the new building as well as the design and construction aspect
The owners have assured the residents that they will provide additional landscaping to act as a buffer for the nearby residents. This should reduce disturbances to those residents affected during the day to day operations of the building. The owners also gave an explanation of the variance application they submitted to the Town of Islip Zoning Board of Appeals.
Mr. Golia also spoke of the employment opportunities that will be available. He explained that only a small group of existing employees at their current Nassau County location will move to the new building.
We sincerely thank the representatives for taking the time to speak with our community.
