Proposed By-Law Changes

posted Sep 10, 2016, 2:21 PM by Eileen Panico   [ updated Jun 19, 2017, 10:41 AM by Exec Board ]

A member of the civic has sent in proposed by-law changes. These changes were read by our President Bruce Edwards at the September 8th Membership meeting. The changes were scheduled to be discussed and voted on individually at our October 13th membership meeting, however, all business was suspended for the October meeting for our Meet the Candidates night. Therefore, they will be read and voted on individually at the November meeting.

A copy of the proposed changes are posted below for review by our membership.

Please review and join us in November to adopt, adopt with changes  or reject  these suggestions. Thank you.

We, the residents and tax-payers of Ronkonkoma, know what we need and what we want for our community

The RCA has partnered with the Suffolk County IDA and RPA, a not for profit that works with communities to develop areas before a developer comes in and tells a community what they need.

We have a unique opportunity to present our ideas and our list of MUST HAVE's to any developers that are looking to connect the LIRR HUB on the Brookhaven side to the Islip side.

We know this is coming. Let's be PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE!

RCA supports NO CASINO in Suffolk County

posted Aug 21, 2016, 1:44 AM by Eileen Panico

Our members voted and the board follows what our members want!

We've been attending Islandia meetings, forming a coalition with Islandia residents, Hauppauge HOA, Medford residents and other towns all across Suffolk County.

We've hired a team of attorney's and are helping to raise funds to pay for the lawsuit we are filing against the Village of Islandia as the coalition called Concerned Citizens of Suffolk County.

Please visit the go fund me page at www.gofundme.com/nocasino

The coalition has also started their own website and FB page to keep everyone updated on the actions we've taken thus far.
Please visit the website here: www.thenocasinoproject.com

The press releases, press conferences and rallies will be listed on those two sites.

We have not given up and we will continue to fight the casino. We will continue to spread the word that home values will be lowered by at least 10% if it does come to Islandia. All homes within a ten-mile radius are affected.

Please help us fight this by volunteering to go to a rally or press conference or by donating to the go fund me site. Thank you!
